Please advise... I added this feature to my daughters phone today and she is now away in the states for the week but she had no service since crossing into the states.  When I added the package on, confirmed and logged out I thought that was all I had to do....

Sounds like she needs to turn on international roaming, data, etc., on her phone. Please share the model phone so we can provide more detail.

Even without the plan, unless she uses a prepaid phone, she will have (more expensive) service if the phone is not prevented from international access in the settings, or she has not requested such services be blocked to Telus at some time in the past.

The travel combo pass does not activate the ability to roam. It only gives you better rates. You should have roaming capabilities with or without the travel pass.

I suspect that roaming is turned off on the phone itself, as NFtoBC has already suggested.

Settings > Cellular > Data Roaming > turn on and off as necessary.

Settings > Carrier > Automatic > turned on
