Telus Plans

Why does Telus have so many terms and names for different services?  Is it to confuse customers?  I just switched from a 6GB plan from Koodo for $49 to a 20GB plan at Telus for $75 because I was reading the plans description and ASSUMED that I was getting 20 GB to be used in Canada AND the USA.  I even bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max from Telus.  Now I'm stuck with Telus for 2 years, paying more and still have to buy a USA number and plan when I snowbird.

Though not as lucrative on the data front, the Telus Peace of Mind Can-US plan is $95, and may be cheaper than buying and dealing with a US number when you travel south.
