Someone is spoofing my number for some kind of nefarious purpose. I called telus to complain and they assured me it was UNPOSSIBLE!!!11... Yet a google search brings up news articles stating it is easy to spoof a number, and scammers often do this.
so far I have only recieved a few calls: "I am returning your call, what did you want?"
yet I never called them first. My number is showing up in their call display and missed call history on their iphone which they are using to return the missed call.
Is there anything I can or should do? or do I suck it up and chalk it up to another "miracle" of modern technology?
stupid stupid scammers.

Spoofing numbers is quite common and has been around for years. There is nothing Telus can do to fix the issue. The problem is with the call display technology in general. Since they are spoofing your number there is little that can be done by you short of changing your number or putting up with it and hope the scammers stop spoofing your number.
