Skip voicemail password

Heads up there is a vulnerability with Telus' voicemail system. Do not use the "skip my password when calling from your own phone".

The original post security concerns are valid, any voice mail system that uses just caller ID in place of a password is insecure.

The skip voicemail option means that you can listen to your voicemails without using a password from your cell phone only. No one can call your voicemail from another phone and listen to your voicemails. If you have a passcode on your phone then someone would face to know your passcode and physically gave your phone to listen then to them.

Thats how its intended to work. I don’t think that’s how it’s currently working.

Then would be helpful if you explained how it differs from the description @Mobility_Princess provided, rather than letting us all guess.

It works as she described for me.
