Porting

is there anyway to undo porting a number? I ported my rogers number thinking that it swaps it as the description for it literally says "swap numbers". I called immediately upon knowing that is not the case but the lines are all busy on hold.

edit: note that I recently just switched to rogers because of the way that it is set up so I have to switch providers in order to get the deal. Should i just go in first thing in person then?

If you asked for porting. It's Pretty quick with Rogers and Telus takes about 30mins to an hour max to have the number ported. So in other words if you asked for porting it's then it has ported to Telus. Only way to go back is to Port you number back which would require you to get a new plan or in less they can reinstate the old plan.
Thing to keep in mind is you don't want number ported all over the place as one mistake can make you lose your number. And also mess up routing calls to your phone.

Curious where you see ‘swap’, as Transfer or move  is the term I recall?

When you click manage your number and select option 2 "swap your number xxx" is the description.

Thanks. Unfortunately you can't swap numbers (plural) just port your number from one provider to another, as outlined by the CRTC.

I'll try tp poke someone up the line to effect a change to that wording.
