Hello,
I've been trying to find a way to get my pixel 2 to connect to wifi for the calling. Rogers has it and I'm seriously considering switching as I live in rural Alberta, have a great wifi connection but horrible cell service.
I see they support phones that have been out for 1-2 years but nothing for the pixel, pixel xl or pixel 2 etc. Is there any answers out there as to why telus is so far behind the US. and Rogers? It seems silly that a carrier has zip for info in the forums as to testing and roll out either by schedule or any feed back.
Can anybody enlighten me?
Cheers,

I couldn’t find anything on Rogers website for phones other than iPhone, some Samsung, and some LG. You might want to do a test drive with other carriers on your phone before switching.

@joshk: I believe it's only supported if the device is bought from Rogers. From what I've read online, you won't be able to turn on VoLTE or Wi-Fi calling with a Pixel 2 XL purchased from anywhere other than a Rogers store or Rogers' website.

That list appears to be outdated. If you look at the technical specifications for the Pixel 2 XL on Rogers' website, you'll see that it supports Wi-Fi calling ("YES [Android Version 8.1]") as well as VoLTE.

See if you can manually input the IMS settings for Telus's WiFi Calling to see if that works for you. Before Telus allowed the use of WiFi Calling on the V30, I had my H933 running on T-Mobile to make sure of their superb WiFi Calling until Telus let LG roll it out in the Oreo update.
