My son has a pay and talk phone which was registered through Telus. After many months of inactivity he reset it due to forgetting his password. He wants to use it again but it isn't recognizing the network. I need help to resolve this. SIM card is still in phone.

Sim cards and pay and talk accounts expire after 90 days of no activity. You will need to purchase a new sim card for $20 and re activate a new telus prepaid account and new telus phone number at www.telus.com/activate

If the phone has not been used in months there is a chance the pay and talk plan may have expired. SIM cards also will expire if not used for 45 days, or at least they did the last time one of mine stopped working. He'll need to contact Telus to double check.

He wasn't on a monthly plan. Perhaps the SIM has expired.
