If you're frustrated with confusing "Cellphone bills" and the time it takes to compare-Providers to select the best plan, here's a FREE tool that can help you. <CELAGORA.Com> launched its 1st-Website 2Weeks ago. A Free tool that ask you to enter an average, monthly Cellphone usage.
The User who looks for a Comparator-plans enter-estimates of how many, monthly mins. he talks & how much Text+Data is needed if he wants (VMail-Call display-Unlimited calling,.etc.) Then when you click-More the Site links to the plan in question. In addition will alert you, when changes to the plan chosen are done.
The Website it had between 500-100-Visitors & still in Beta, but can be useful to avoid waste time, searching different Carriers. Note: I'm not prop. this Site is Free after all..just posted to help TELUS Users.
Here's the link: http://www.celagora.com/en/search ..If shows an error >Click HomePage. Just enter the Mins+Data amount. On the bottom shows a Providers list-Select(1) to see more plans from ea. CARRIER: Any + or - comments welcome: If you like the Post-Give Kudos to the Author-Thks <v9>
Solved! Go to Solution.

The problem with this comparison site is it assumes coverage is province wide.... it is NOT.
The site is a #FAIL for misleading comparisons. The site basically suggests Canadians should support a low cost provider who will blindside you with slow unreliable service!
The comparison site should include the following to be fair...
Please give kudo's to this post if you feel the same.

Agree. It only assesses price, assumes you live in an area serviced by all carriers, and there are no other reasons than minutes and data to assess. While it is a starting point, it should not be the only tool used.
EDIT: it also does not have up to date prices. Check unlimited minutes and 4 GB data on the tool ($165/ mo) vs. the Telus site ($110)
It is good to see the errors present in the early versions have been corrected by the developer, however, there is still work to be done.

To the Top-Posters in the Mobility Boards-(NftoBc & Xl) Thanks for your Feedbacks with the infamous CELAGORA-Picker-Plan Tool. Ok Techies the tool is still on Beta but is 100% Canadian-So still a lot work to be done. I agree on that it has only 2Weeks, since was launched & is intended to help ID-plans with lower Add-ons 'till $80-perhaps.
Wait a min. @NftoBC-just checked SaskTel. It display all the plans until $100.-Unlimited(Voice+Data) Let's move there. Hu-ha!
I found it does what they say. Is useful for ordinary-Users that haven't time to Logged In ea. Carrier, slowly they going to get it better. Contact the Website & ask them to include the features mentioned-Who knows might as well get hired. I will rate it with ***Starts for the features offered so far. Thanks again for your replies. Read you around <v9>

To clarify.... what is your definition of "ordinary user"? Looking at market share...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadian_mobile_phone_companies#Market_Share
I think "ordinary users" or the Canadian majority want a reliable quality provider that WORKS. This is reflected in the current market share surveys of users. If the comparison site is only looking at price and ignoring everything else (ie coverage, Canadian roaming charges, complaints, and customer service). The site should NOT be promoted with mis-information.
Discount providers provide the minimal and don't reinvest the money to offer reliable coverage expansion. If discount users want more coverage, they are forced to pay for roaming--IN CANADA.

It's been around since March, lots of time to get out of Beta. I have no knowledge about the back end, but given the errors I found in a quick check, it appears the data supporting the website is either old, or improperly gathered if live. I could not recommend it to anyone seeking accurate information. That it's 100% Canadian shouldn't justify the errors presented.
Also, many folks have little idea of how many minutes or how much data they need, and tend to over-estimate, making selections inaccurate at best.

Good Morning-To NftoBC+Xl: All the Members have red out your comments, about this App that help to identify plans-prices-airtime & data from all the wireless-Providers in CAN all in 1-Website. Is this Tool helpful or useless it can't be determined by 2Members feedbacks. In this forum most of the advisers, concentrate their remarks only in the negative-side of the posts. As a result when they reach the Position as top-Authors-they can't keep it up too long. Change that attitudes to get positive results.
There're good suggestions from "Xl" as to which features, should this tool-put in practice. Let's contact the website & tell them the tool it's been tested in the Telus-forum and failed. Got an idea @Nfto..Xl-How about if we get associated, with some of your ITs buddies & create a tool-that includes all the features-proposed by 'Xl' +add this1. The tool it has to be able to STOP-Data-Usage, when reached the limit. Would be a success don't you think so--Hu-ha!..Take care. Bye <v9>
Great advice @Dimo-X:Thumbs Up-that kind of positive suggestions, we need in this Forum. I'll check it out! Thks. Dimo-X

LoL, although this isn't directly relevant to the tool and web-investigation-method you can also shop around and check the "multi-carrier" kiosks for comparisons on current in-market rate plans, etc. 🙂
