Sign onto the Telus Mobility account. It will show you the consumption instead waiting for the monthly bill to show up.

Otherwise consider a phone app, however it won't be as accurate, especially if you do a SIM card swap mid-month when you are travelling.

why not just disable data so she can only transmit data when she is on wifi? regular phone features will still work.
