It’s not unlimited data as TelusDirect is Wi-Fi.

Thoughts....

• data service can exist as cellular or wifi
• your Telus device automatically switches to wifi data when it see's a TelusDirect site.
• No other cellular carrier offers wifi data to complement their data service.  This free data helps Telus customers.

OP mentioned their cellular data. You brought up TelusDirect as unlimited, which can be misleading.

It is an unlimited Wi-Fi data connection. However, it doesn’t provide the client with unlimited cellular data.
