Greetings,
My BlackBerry PlayBook has a V3 Nano SIM, which works, but seems a bit slow. BlackBerry says I should have a "data only" SIM. Is the SIM I have right now data only? Or does Telus offer this kind?
Thanks,
Shane.

A SIM is a SIM.

Thoughts....
To clarify... is this the playbook or passport. I thought the Playbook took a "Micro SIM" and not a "Nano SIM".
I can't tell from the picture..... that Nano SIM may be multisize..... I recommend avoiding aftermarket adapters to avoid jamming.
When you say slow....

There seem to be different kinds of SIMs. For example, I had to buy a NFC SIM for my BlackBerry Z10, because the one I had didn't support NFC.
I have a LTE PlayBook, which requires a nano SIM.
I can't seem to find a data-only SIM on the Telus Mobility website. If there is one available, it looks like they don't sell it.

There isn't such a thing as a data only SIM. It's going to be related to the plan you're on. If you have a tablet / data only plan, then that's what the SIM will do. All a SIM card is, is a way to identify the device to Telus and to allow it to work on the network with whatever services are available to it on the account it's using. If you need a nano SIM, get one and it should work fine on whatever plan you add it to.

NFC SIM is a SIM card that would allow to use payment apps by banks. It has an extra chip it it.
However, there is not such thing as "data" SIM. It goes with your plan (as long as the plan has data, it should work).
Now if you're having slowness issues, and data works, you can try troubleshooting, like resetting the tablet, etc. If no other device is slow in the area, then you're pretty certain that the problem is software/hardware related.
