setting up Samsung Galaxy Note4 on Telus account

Kaybee01

I was given a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by family member when they updated.  I want to clear everything and reset. I will use it mainly for phone calls, texting, taking photos. I am set up with Telus on $30 plan for text and data.

You can do a factory reset on the phone to reset it to factory settings. Then set it up as you wish.

If I take it into a local Telus store...will they help me set it up the way I want it set up?  Just want basic stuff.  Also, does Telus have to be notified that I have a different cell phone?  Thanks for help.

They may, depending on time available to them, but they are under no obligation to do so. Usually this would occur at the time you buy a plan, and a fee is charged as part of the plan purchase for the time spent.

An Internet search will provide the steps to reset your phone. There’s not much to set up beyond that. Come back here if you have further questions.  Your local library may also offer computer and phone support.
