Was in PQ for four days, and had Telus service there. On return to BC yesterday, iPhone showed "No Service". I have powered down, reinstalled SIM, and reset network settings, all to no avail. I am definitely in a service area. Oddly, I was able to pick up AT&T while driving close to the border yesterday - but not Telus. Does anyone know anything about this? Can't get hold of anyone at Telus - I'm assuming because of the long weekend.

Hi! Have you already tried doing a manual network search on the phone? (Settings > Carriers > Turn off Automatic )
There are 2 possibilities after turning off Automatic:
1. The names of service providers will appear and that includes Telus. If you see that, just click on Telus to get back on the network.
2. It'll show only Rogers or Bell or etc. but not Telus. If that happened, please call Customer Service or Technical Support at 1-866-558-2273 to have it fixed but usually it's the Technical Team can fix it.
*Note: If your phone have a jelly case(i.e. Capdase), try to remove it. Sometimes accessories on the phone is preventing the network. It sounds crazy but honestly it does.

Wild guess...
On some phones, you can choose your carrier automatically or manually to avoid roaming charges.
Another possibility is a damaged SIM.

Thanks for the reply, KittyGumDropz. I did try the manual network search, and only Rogers came up. No case interference, either - but I appreciate the suggestions! Tech support is closed for the holiday, but I'll give them a try tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestions, xl. No luck with trying to choose carriers manually. Hadn't thought about damaged SIM card possibility...though the timing would suggest that it had something to do with crossing provincial borders and/or putting the phone on "airplane" mode for the flight.
At this point, I think I'll have to talk to tech support. Appreciate your help!

Anytime hun, I've been hearing a lot of issues that when you put your phone on airplane mode it doesn't pick up any network. Weird as it is but those feedbacks I've gathered are from those who went on holiday in some countries(specifically US).
