can i use old phone if new phone gives out.

The phone that gave out is samsung galaxy 3 and the sim card is a small one,it will not fit in my old LG which is the phone i want to go back to...

It is possible to switch, yes. Since the SIM card is a different size, you just have to buy the correct one ($10 I think) and then log into your Telus account online and change the SIM card number on your account. New phone will be usable within 15 minutes. I did this when I got my phone last year and had no issues.
