Still no sign of the latest 10.3.2 release from last year on my Passport so I wouldn't get your hopes up! My wife has an unlocked Passport and she got the update the day of release. I won't be getting phones through Telus ever again. If they sell phones, they should be supporting them properly!

I got the 10.3.2 update for my Z10 through Telus. My phone is locked.

When will telus be releasing the BlackBerry 10.3.3 OS update? This was announced couple weeks ago and I had heard some telus customers had received it, but nothing on my devices yet.

Really? I wasn't aware some customers have already received it. If that's true, then it shouldn't be much longer.

I have a Z10.

With all due respect, that argument of carrier testing doesn't make sense to me. I'm sure the provider has tested it out plenty before it gets to the carrier. I see that as a way for the carrier to drive people from a certain make of phone toward ones they favour and get better compensated on. Why else would they hold off on releasing the updates? If the carrier is doing something "special" with their networks, Nd it's causing issues with the software, who's problem is that? I mean aside from the customer.

I just chatted on twitter with support. The Moto Z update is starting today, and will continue to roll out over the next few weeks.

Hopefully it fixes the super quiet notifications. That's the only gripe I have with this phone. I always miss them because they are so quiet (yes, I have the volume cranked up). It's a known issue.

Did you know you could 'mention' someone in the forum by using the '@' symbol before their username?  I often use to to ensure clarity in a post, as done here.

You can also edit a post by using the functions under the caret at the upper right corner of any of your posts.

Still nothing. Have they actually pushed out the Moto Z update to anyone yet? From what I can find online, nope. Rogers has, or at least they've started.

Some people are reporting issues after the update. Constant reboots, etc. Maybe they pulled the update because of it.

The update page says Target date. It's not a concrete date set in stone. Previously some news articles out there say the roll out could be closer to the end of Q1 for the general release. Any releases that are made are not sent out to all devices at once either if it did actually start coming out December 19th.

It's also Christmas. So unless your phone is a smoldering mess, like a Note 7, give it some time.

i got the latest update for the samsung galaxy s7 Edge near the end of november and ever since the update people i phone cannot hear what i say and or think i am talking through speaker phone which i am not doing but it seems to work okay if they call me. i have tried the Hard Reset and cache clear options on boot up but that hasn't worked either i am patiently waiting for the update to android 7 and am crossing anything that i can to hope that it fixes the problem.. i also contacted tech support and they tried some sort of deativate activate and it worked for a couple days but it seems that the issue is ongoing to the point i am going to run the phone over with my van and put it out of it's misery once and for all as my contract is up in February 2017 i just may need to change to an iphone.. I hope the next update comes sooner that later but i doubt it will

@Nighthawk End of Q1? That sounds crazy. It's not like there's that many Telus Moto Z owners in Canada. If the rollout has started there's no way it should take until March.

The previous news articles pegged the general release, not Telus specific, as end of Q1. For Telus I did say IF the rollout did start on the 19th in my previous post.

Android in general has widely varying release dates and a history of having updates pulled for bugs. In general there are many devices out there that still haven't received their Marshmallow updates. The worst manufacturer for updates still being Samsung.

Samsung is amazingly horrid at updates. When they finally release them, they break as much as they fix.
Really, Samsung sucks at software in general. Hardware they are excellent at (ok, maybe not the Note 7).

I got impatient. I side loaded the Nougat update via ADB. It was easy (info and downloads at XDA).

Nougat is awesome. You can finally change the DPI. It's much faster also. Too bad they didn't fix the quiet notification issue, but there is a fix coming. You can also get around it with an app from the Play Store (Disable Increasing Ring).

*Edit* I've just side loaded a newer out of market update that fixes the quiet notification issue. Beauty.

Just received the Samsung Galaxy S6 security update today, (release was scheduled for December 12th) just in case anybody was wondering when it was coming out...

I've been corresponding with Telus about when they will release BlackBerry OS 10.3.3. The e-care Specialist is insisting that BlackBerry hasn't released 10.3.3, but I believe it has.

@Techjunkie
Does your phone need to be unlocked to sideload?
Highlighted

@Edmontonchef Nope. My phone is bone stock. You don't have to unlock the BL or anything. As long as the software is for Griffin, it will work. Just download the Nougat version they are flashing in the XDA thread (you DON'T have to flash the Rogers Marshmallow version first, that is only for unlocked retail phones), then sideload it with ADB in recovery. It takes about 15 to copy, then reboot and you are done. After that, you can flash the OTA update in the other thread from Mexico if you want, and it will fix the quiet notifications issue. In the end, I'm running NPL25.86-17-

FYI: I picked up a Daydream VR, it works great! It REALLY heats up the phone though.

@Techjunkie The Samsung Gear VR really heats the phone up as well. I"m guessing the graphics chip in the phones works at full power to do the VR.

@Nighthawk Yea, it doesn't help that it sucks down my Incipio Offgrid battery pack pretty quick. It also gets hot, which adds to the heat

I actually started taking it off when using VR. It makes the phone much lighter.

I think it's the graphics chip overheating also, because I start to see what look like crystallized sparkles randomly on the display when things get really got.

This can't be good for the phone, lol.
