@dru Thanks for adding the 830, I can see the update is available on the phone.  Much appreciated, keep up the great work!

Just created account. Have no idea if i'm in the right place. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and I see that it is scheduled for May 16th but I have had it on all night and just happened to check to the update and it said that it already downloaded it and installed it. But I didn't see it do anything and it still says 5.1.1

Any ideas?

@sanayp As release dates become available to us, we'll update our schedule accordingly πŸ™‚

There seems to be an error above as the Alcatel Idol 3 (5.5") seems to be listed twice with different dates.

@sanayp Edited. Thanks!

My BlackBerry Z10 is currently running OS 10.3.2.2474. When can we expect 10.3.2.2876?

Thanks,

Shane.

@Newmarket  It takes a few days to each all devices and regions of Canada.

I wonder if the June security update for the s7/s7 edge will be released this month!

Now, idol3 not listed at all 😞

now that Alcatel has begun sending 6.0.1 to unlocked US phones, will Telus be putting the phone back on the update schedule?

Same question here, when is Alcatel idol 3 getting update. Just let us know if its getting and when or not at all....

Alcatel did just release Marshmallow for UNLOCKED Idol 3s in the States. No mention of when carrier locked ones will get it, or Canada.

We've had to revise the date but we'll be updating our schedule with the new date shortly πŸ™‚

Why isn't the s7 receiving it's monthly updates just like the nexus 6p and blackberry priv? Samsung releases the firmware and telus is responsible for testing and releasing it. Ughhh

Hey @Malek777,

It is currently at the discretion of the OEM whether or not they roll-out monthly security patches. We have received word from Samsung that they do expect an update next month that will likely bundle the June & July security updates.

Keep an eye on the software update schedule for the latest dates. Smiley Happy

A newer update always builds up on the one before that. There is no such thing as bundling security updates. That defeats the purpose. The only reason here is that the carrier does not find it feasible to work on patches every month. Too bad there is a lack of courtesy to the customer to simply admit that, or to provide the option to switch to the Samsung update channel.

Telus probably isn't even aware of the battery drain on the current Galaxy S7 build.

Received marshmallow of the idol3 today. Phone seems snappier. Now Waiting for the s7 edge update to address the battery drain.

Can the forum moderator confirm that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, Note 3 and the Galaxy Tab A are not being up graded higher than android 5.00 so I can go forward with installing a custom firmware as the continual bugs, lack of security updates and extremely poor battery life in version 5.00 are irritating i am tired of having to deal with them.  The Samsung hardware is excellent only the firmware does not meet good quality.

No s7 updates on the horizon I'm fairly confused on how blackberry can manage to push updates faster than samsung when the s7 has been the best selling phone in canada. I'm not sure if Telus is stalling or samsung. Samsung has already released the firmware internationally. The US carriers are already pushing the update but the big three are stuck in April. Quite disappointing.

It will be delays on Samsung's part. They are notorious for massive delays in releasing updates and patches. Worse than all other big manufacturers. There are also different releases based on country / region also. Samsung always releases updates in Korea followed by the USA first. Then they often delay other releases when bugs surface from the initial one.

As for Blackberry, they have a more stock version of Android that needs far less tweaking than Samsung. They also have a much smaller product line than Samsung. Both result in faster releases.

That is just not true. Samsung has been good at pushing updates throughout Europe , Asia and the US. It's up to the carrier to get into gear and test the firmware and release it. Most carriers around the world released the may, June and recently the July update. Rogers has been the worst so far. Telus and bell are better but not that great either. The priv being close to stock has nothing to do with a security patch, this isn't an upgrade from 6.01 to 7.0.

BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.2888 has been released by BlackBerry. When can we expect Telus to release it?

I wish you'd just have the decency towards your customers and admit you're not on track. Instead you're blaming the phone manufacturer. It's just embarrassing.

Little tip: how about you stop removing the data toggle from the quick settings on your Samsung firmware. Would probably save some time and your customers, who would like to control their data use conveniently - as intended by the phone manufacturer - wouldn't feel cheap shot.

Has anyone gotten the Moto G 3rd Gen security update that was supposed to roll out today? My device says I'm up to date. Also will it be bumped up to 6.0.1 with the new emojis or will it will be 6.0 with an updated (hopefully July 5th) patchset?

You should probably check your battery details then.

Well, that's good to hear. I am surprised. Thank you TELUS. What's the first verdict Malek?
