Smart Hub cell Frequency

Sniffy
Just Moved In

I just got a Smart hub and unfortunately I have poor reception from the cell tower 6 miles away. One bar, maybe two. Since boosters and a yagi antenna are frequency specific I asked Telus for info on my tower and smart hub. They knew el-zippo. Kept trying to give me info on wifi.

So here is the question for a 4g LTE system am I running 1900mhz or 2100mhz or both/neither? Any recommended booster models?

There are multiple frequencies it could use for LTE, including one of the 4 available 700MHz LTE bands. It really specifically depends what the tower near your place is running. If it's more rural, just a guess based on 6 mile distance, there's a good possibility one of the 700MHz variants may be in use as well as band 4 which uses both 1700 & 2100. 1900MHz would be for 3G in addition to 850MHz. You'll need both.

Now this map may not be 100% up to date but try find your address and the towers nearby. It'll give you an idea of which frequencies could be in use.
