Samsung Ativ S upgrade to win 8.1

Is Telus going to upgrade the Samsung Ativ S to windows phone 8.1 ?

Unless you want the developer preview and any bugs with it, looks like maybe October for the Windows 8.1 update. From a quick look at various forums, Samsung may be rolling all the current patches to the 8.1 update into one major upgrade. The waiting game continues.

Maybe Samsung going to skip WP8.1 and go right to WP8.1 GDR1 in October? Since Samsung skipped WP8 and went to WP8.1 GDR1 with the ATIV S on release in the first place!

Welcome back @dcloutier: Regarding to your question. I just made a quick research and <Telus.com> doesn't show anything new, with this [Samsung Ativ S Upgrade to Win's 8.1] But I found a link-dated on: Oct-24-2014: With some information, about this WPhone-Upgrade. Carefully read the article & carry out some checks, like the exactly-model of your (Win's Ativ S phone) and keep on check as well the Auto update option, build-in your phone by goto: Settings >More >Phone update & >Check for updates..if says you've the latest update, then it hasn't arrival yet. Also there's a link to login on a forum.

Finally in the 3rd paragraph from Botton to Top. You'll find this text. Conversely for the majority of users, especially those with Carrier-Branded-phones in Canada & elsewhere are not getting this update as of today. Hope this help you out. CU <v9>

Still waiting for information on the release of WP8.1 or WP8.1 GDR1 update in Canada!

Samsung ATIV S in Canada came with WP8 GDR1 updated OS and may do the same again and go straight to WP8.1 GDR1 witch is in testing right now!
