Hello celzinga,

I'm JS a contributor here.  Welcome to the TELUS Neighbourhood!!

In order to assist you better, what type of phone do you own?  Is it an iPhone or a regular smartphone?

If it is a regular smartphone or iPhone you will have click on the setttings app, look for Wi-Fi, tap the highlighted button (on/off) on the far right and that will turn your Wi-Fi feature on.  You might have to connect to a Wi-Fi network and after that you should be good to go.  If you are still unable to connect to the Wi-Fi and if you have an account, log in to telus.com, click on mobility, troubleshooting or drop by a TELUS Store or give TELUS technical assistace a call at *611 and they will be able to further solve your issue.  *611 is a free call.

Celzinga-Welcome to the forum. Yes definetely to get help in solve 'Malfunctions' in UrPhone, you've to provide a bit more info, about kind of Ph.you own. Say that is an - iPhone-SamsungS4.s5 -HTC,.etc.These phones comes equiped

with the |Wi-fy| function.

To use the |Wi-fy|. You've to connected through a carrier like, Telus, Rogers, Bell.. At the moment |Wi-fy| still free, that's great. So once the User is registered, like 'Js' said, goto settings +tap the |wi-fy| icon. When enter to Starbucks, Macdonald, Tin Horton,.etc.

Lookup Ur screen+tap a place listed & follow steps to connect it. Ps 'Celzinga' add details

at your post & report to forum the results. Thks  <ReadMe-soon>  "v9"

@v9 - Your instructions are flawed and based on one specific scenario without any real troubleshooting at all. Going to a coffee shop or restaurant to troubleshoot wireless is not going to solve the issue if the user has the problem at home or if it is the phone itself. To use wireless you need to be on a cellular network? That is 100% incorrect. You need a valid internet connection through cable, DSL, or fiber, with a wireless router. Free unsecured wireless hotspots are usually the last thing you want to connect to. There are many reasons for wireless connectivity problems on a smartphone but without information from the user, it will be impossible to identify the specific source of the problem.

Also, please fix the spelling / grammar in your scripts that you keep posting. Random bold text is also not normal.

Examples:

- definetely to get help in solve 'Malfunctions' >> to get help with solving the wireless connection problem

- in UrPhone >> on your phone

- you've to provide a bit more info >> you will need to provide a bit more information

- Ph.Uown >> phone you own

- Wi-fy >> really? How can you get that one wrong...

- You've to connected through a carrier like >> You need to be connected through a carrier like...

- At the moment [Wi-fy] still free, that's great >> Wireless is never free.

- When enter to >> When you go to

- Macdonald >> McDonald's

- TinHorton >> Tim Horton's

- Lookup Ur Screen >> Look at your screen

- tap a name listed >> tap on the name of your wireless network

- add details at your post & report to forum theresults. >> add more details to your post and include the solution to your problem.

Lastly, why do your posts all seem to end with "<ReadMe-soon>"?

If you find a post useful, please give the author a "Like" or mark as an accepted solution if it solves your trouble. 🙂

@  Nighthawk: Thank you for your valuable observations, I'll start right away to improve my writing, however take in account that most members, aren't graduated from College & I guess no need that to typing a post. Yes I use in my scripts abbreviations to  make the post length shorter. But no worries (users) who read this forum understand the message.

When I said 'quote' to use |Wi-fy| you need to connect the phone to a newtwork, operated by internet, obviously.

I said it before and repeat it -there're contributors, who lost focus in the "Users'- question" and target other members errors, like word-spelling, gramma, bolding letters,.etc. I've red a lot inacurate answers. To keep harmony in the forum, let's treat others with respect.  <ReaMe-soon>  "v9"

But that would be silly for any OP(of the many many many 1 post OP's on this forum), to post back that the solutions provided actually worked. Cat Tongue

sarcastic, or not

Thks-Nasty. You're from the old guard, what - FYI+OP- stand for ordinary users in realtime?  you hit the point. I'm currently targeted for some, High.tech, contributors, with groundless claims, that my posts lacking gramma, too much abreviations, "Why-Do I've an slogan" <ReadMe-soon> plus C'mon, when I registered, didn't read about this nonsense's

The claims are just an attempt for, some elite contributors to stain my record. To measure the popularity of member, count his - Posts' views. A contributor not only can scort, points solving a bug, but talking about experiences or support another member.. I'll leave it there. At those, who read my posts n' found nothing wrong -Thks-   <ReadMe-soon>   "v9"

@v9- Facts not in evidence - you have no information to support your contention that most members have not graduated college, however, it is clear that many are having difficulty with the technology they are using (both the telus products, and adding entries to this forum).

For all users, but especially those confused by the technology they are using, simple, accurate, and clear language is going to be most helpful to them. For most, stepwise instructions would likely be the most helpful so they can take one step at a time to work to a conclusion or solution. It is also valuable to ask them for more clarification, so others can more accurately assess and respond.

You may wish to use this forum as a means to improve the clarity of your writing; we all can find ways to hone our skills.

If you find a post useful, please give the author a "Kudo"

To-Nf to Bc. I said in my last post as new members, we need some help to behave and improve our writing. The hard here's the way, other rate your posts and trying to put you down 'cause of that's inacceptable, isn't it.

Having said that I guess must be a lot of graduates in the forum 'Nf to Bc' and Some of us have,  problems to understand the roll of the phone and how to interact in the forum. Is a process anyway . So 'Nf to Bc' the way you approach the issue is  easily admited. The key here's, we've to respect the other member opinion. . <ReadMe-soon>  "v9"
