Dear Telus,
I hope that you can get the Noika 1520 Bandit add to your SmartPhone list as your Window Phone Selection is lacking. Or at least add the Lumia 928.

Rumor has it that Telus is gonna get Lumia 1020. They have all the top smart phones from all platforms but for Windows, they are in Stone Age.

Yes, I see that Telus is getting the Nokia 1020 however now I see that Nokia has the Lumia 1520 being released to At&t on October 22. I would like the 1020 for my wife and the 1520 for myself.

THe Lumia 928 is a Verizon only phone and will for sure not be coming to Canada

Telus already discontinued selling the 1020 in Alberta. Call them and they say they had to ship em all back. As of May 27, the only windows phone they have listed is the 625 which is middle of the pack at best. Had to go to Rogers for the 1020. I do hope they start carrying the 1520 that would win me back.

With the changes to 2 year contracts, I've seen the average monthly billing increase substantially for a new phone on a new contract, so I don't go with new contracts.
So I quit buying phones from Telus a while ago, and continue to enjoy the old contract price so long as they grandfather it. I buy the phone I want from Ebay, including a Lumia 920 and a Lumia 1520 (current phone). I bought the 1520 factory unlocked, I'd advise to stay away from the crippled AT&T version of the same. This is a great phablet phone. While I initially thought it might be too big, I found I got used to it very quickly. As an older user requiring glasses to read, I appreciate not having to squint to see the teeny fonts. The difference in font size between the 920 compared to the 1520 is startling.
I haven't had any insurmountable issues running Nokia unlocked phones on Telus. I had to make manual APN settings with the 920, but the 1520 has just plain worked properly from the get go.
