You have the option of buying out the remainder of the phone but check how much it is first by calling Client Care through *611 or 1-866-558-2273, or through telusmobility.com Overview > Devices > Upgrades.
If you have exactly 4 months or less in the term there's no need for you to buy out the remainder, as a courtesy Telus will just waive off the remainder for contracts less than 4 months so the only thing that you'll pay if the phone(if there's a price) on a 2 year term.
