Hello, have you done a back-up using Itunes or Icloud? I'm not using an Iphone device but search on Google for this answer.

Hi lisaab, I think that the answers provided by wally_west, kiyomi and Beafftt are all related to your apple services, either Icloud or Itunes. If a back-up was done, I'm sure you'll be able to retrieve your photos.
