Has anyone tried the Nugget D5 phablet on Telus's network?

Here's the phone I'm referring to, available at Staples:

According to the FAQ on the product page, it works on the Telus network:

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this phone; there's not a lot of information on the web.

Thanks!

I do try this phone and had some comment

FINIAL UPDATE : the phone had a serial number 0123456789ABCDEF and Wifi MAC address change every time you turn on the Wifi. I go back to staples and got a new one but had the same issue so I will return it.

I buy one today and just want to use it as a ebook reader. It is a big screen low end cell phone and you got what you pay for.

You need to do a firmware update before you can get the Google Play Store apps show up on the phone. So at less you will got firmware update.

Wireless MAC change every time you turn the Wi-iFi off and on. This is a problem for my router setting but may not for most of the people who do not setup Wireless Filter on there router.  It also will had problem with Shaw To Go if you using it.

I am not sure is only my phone had problem and it is a bug, I already email to gotop and waiting for reply.  End up I just got a email telling me try  to update the Firmware.

To put in the Micro SD card, you need to take out the battery which is not a good design.

GPS take long time to locate my position but it is working.

Build-in Browser working better then Chrome broswer.

YouTube performance is good.

Using Dice Player to play .rmvb video file without any problem or delay, .avi and .mkv had hardware decode and play without problem.

When I play with it, it is easy to use, and you can just hold down the home key and get the list of running apps and stop any one you want just like the iOS 7.

The performance is very good. Not bad at all for $180 and it come with a Bell SIM card.

I am use it as a ereader so I do not active the phone part and had no idea how the performance about the phone section.

One little thing is when I go into the Recovery Mode, it showing in Simplified Chinese. I am OK with it but not everyone can read it so it may be a problem.

Also very limited information about this phone when you google it. - See more at:

Unless you need the 5.3" screen and you are working in a budget the Moto G is a far better device and will actually receve updates.  Also the phone only leave s you about 500mb tom install apps which is maybe three games and that is it. The MediaTek processors are extremely weak and used in the cheapest Chinese phones. So in theory you can use it on Telus but you probably don't want to.
