The Moto G Play, and the LG X Power are also available for $0 on a 2 year plan, and would allow the use of WhatsApp.

Also, I understand texting isn't great with Alcatel fo flip and I do like to text. My biggest concern I'd that aside from being a senior and not go with devices, I have a tremor so I need wider spaced key board. Any suggestions appreciated.

Check to see if your phone has a microphone icon when you open messenger. If it does, you press that, speak your message, and the phone will type it in for you. I use it all the time so I don't have to get the reading glasses 🙂

@Kaybee01-- I have Essential Tremor, though not a senior yet. Some days using any device is frustrating, but as @HGolightly said, voice is helpful, unless tremor affects your voice, if your voice shakes, then voice command can also be frustrating. On my phone, Samsung GS7, I find I have more control if I use my index finger to type rather than my thumbs. Samsung has useful dexterity and interaction functions, look at vision assistance too, because that can help with dexterity issues.

Not only do I have essential tremor... I have high anxiety and get rattled very easily. I had a flat tire the other day and very carefully pulled over in safe place but because I panic a bit ...I tried to phone for roadside assistance and couldn't for the life of my make a phone call for about 5 minutes. So...I need a cell that's not only larger key pad but one that has a designated phone button that I just have to press. Must sound pretty odd but trying to explain what I really need. 😏

By designated phone button, do you a button which opens the phone app? Or, do you mean a button which will call a designated phone number?
"Hey Siri / Google call CAA". Just have your favourite support folks in your contacts list.
There are a number of skins for android phones built for children or seniors, which present a minimized screen for your use. However, some may also reduce the functionality of the phone.

Can you suggest an android phone and also don't know anything about skins...can you explain? Appreciate it. Mostly need phone for texting, occasional phone calls. But one with one touch press to call someone. Cannot do the slide to call etc. Sorry but trying to make it the easiest I can to call and text. Also wouldn't mind a phone with good camera...that takes good pictures. Thanks for your suggestions. Karen

Is the Alcatel go flip the easiest cell for seniors?

What do you mean by easiest?
If you mean most like a traditional cordless phone, then yes, however there are launchers available for Android phones that simplify the interface for them.
