Absolutely livid with telus (any samsung edge product)

Friendly Neighbour
I know the competition seems to be doing essentially the same thing (collusion), but the bs i got fed when i got this s7 edge has me absolutely fuming.

I was sold on a warranty. When i needed that warranty it took 3 weeks to get my phone fixed because they were "out of stock". 3 weeks i was billed while being stuck with a busted phone. Maybe you should tell your customers straight up that it isnt really a warranty and is infact "insurance with deductables" essentially.

Why did i need that not-really-a-warranty? Well because i was turned off by your otterbox. The lack of a screen cover turned me off of it immediately.

When i got my replacement i went to your store to just buy the damned thing because i do not want my phone to get damaged. Big mistake. $50 for something that does not protect the most important area of my phone. Then i get sold on a cheap 2 cents to manufacture screen protector that had defective adhesive and was only a gougy $40. Not only was it made from ridiculously soft plastic but the edges peeled up in less than a day and are now a pocket debris collector.

$90 frigging dollars and my phone isnt protected, and the limited warranty offered by the azurion or whatever business replaced my phone makes me question if i am still being billed for their protection even though it appears to be limited to just taking my money for nothing at some point. Something shady is going on.

Otterbox offers a refund if people arent satisfied but i missed if telus offers that or not?

I am sure your company wants people to have damaged phones based on my experience with your company.

Not only do i feel as though telus falsly misrepresents its warranty (certainly not the sales rep's fault so dont blame that guy), i feel as though telus doesnt give a crap when someone is essentially guaranteeing them thousands of dollars in revenue with that sale. I couldnt believe the amount of money i lost during those 3 weeks simply because i was screwed over by that warranty and by your terrible overpriced, defective or poorly engineered offerings for protection.

Im tempted to say that this experience is enough to make me just outright buy a phone and use wind or chattr next time. In fact at this point i may simply buy out the equipment and leave early.

I've never heard of this being called a "warranty". Insurance is available through Asurion or whatever they're called, but you're better off insuring your phone under your home insurance. When you buy something, especially something small, expensive, and breakable like a cell phone, read all the fine print and ensure you know thoroughly about what product or service you are purchasing. You chose to get that phone insurance where it's completely optional. Edge devices are also the worst ones to get from a case/screen protector standpoint because of the curved screen. Flat protectors don't often adhere properly. Also, you can get cases etc from many sources.
