Customers on Galiano Island frequently get mistaken for travelling to the US since we are very close to the border. We get roaming notifications and charges often, and to-date have had to call in each time to request the charges be removed. We have had inconsistent service for these requests including sometimes having to pay all or part of the roaming charges when we haven't left the island. It seems to depend on which agent handles the request. For many of us the Verizon signal is actually stronger than the Telus signal. Please add Galiano Island to the accidental roaming zone so that we don't have to individually reach out each time!

It would be helpful to be able to set up automatic recording of all future games of a single sports team, such as the Canucks. Right now this needs to be done every game manually, and the PVR duration needs to be extended every time as well to account for potential overtime. This is very tedious and needs to be done continuously (can only select a game to record 1.5 weeks in advance). The TelusTV apps (in browser and on phone) are also very slow, making the process even more frustrating. Shaw has had this capability for over a decade, its time Telus implemented an easier way for sports fans to follow their teams.

I really like the idea of a cloud PVR, but 45 days is far too short of a retention policy. It would be great if you could choose to have it function similar to that of a traditional PVR. where you can record a maximum number of 5 shows at once and the space is limited to say 2TB, but they don't expire. I was forced to get a legacy PVR because I keep some recordings for extended periods and watch a lot of shows, making it hard to always keep up. I don't like on demand for shows because I can't skip commercials or fast forward any portion of the show.

I am a new Telus TV and internet customer who recently switched from Shaw where I was using their older Arris Gateway platform for the last 8 years. Honestly it was great but Shaw no longer supports them and their new Blue Curve is missing some key features and they have no desire to fix them after 5+ years in use. When I switched to Telus last week I was expecting at least the basic recording features for this new Android based Technicolor technology. One obvious omission is the ability to extend a recording by a set amount of time, and also the allow default settings of this nature. For example, most sport shows (Hockey and Football because that is my thing) run past the program scheduled time to end. Almost every hockey game lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes yet the scheduled time is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Imagine my surprise when I found that the two games I have already recorded ended recording with 5 minutes still on the 3rd period clock. When I looked for the option to extend future recordings I found there are NO options available and no ability to set default recording options. Even the old PACE units that Shaw used 20 years ago had those features. C'mon Telus, you can do better.

I’m really quite annoyed about Telus’ current policies and limitations with eSim. As a feature request, I believe that eSims are digital assets and should be able to be transferred between my unlocked iPhones for free through iOS’ built in migration tool. They could also be downloaded through the Telus app and website. I also think they should be able to be activated more than once. I hope TELUS makes some progress here before Apple rolls out sim tray remove internationally. TELUS is usually at the forefront of new tech.

Eons ago Bell and Telus used the same Microsoft Mediaroom platform to provide their fibre TV service. It was cutting edge at the time, but over the years it seems Bell has moved light years beyond where Telus is. Their current offering has more support for Google services, a cloud based PVR and more flexibility in remote watching of programs. I would love to see Telus offer an upgrade path to these features, as Optik has grown very long in the tooth. Even Shaw is offering these features now.

I just had to give up my Shaw Gateway I had for a decade, as Shaw is no longer with us. I got the Telus Tv. I am very surprised how this Telus system is so far behind of what I had 10 years ago, and this costs more. Telus doesn’t have slow motion playback, recording options like start time and stop time, high speed forward or reverse, and not even a Stop button. I find it annoying that when you are finished watching a show it keeps playing because you can’t stop it until you pick something else. Telus Tv has taken a step back more than 10 years with their antiquated system, and the price they charge for this is serious gouging. When my contract is up I will shop elsewhere if they do not get their systems modernized.

I have just switched over from shaw and I am blown away at how horrible your tv experience is. The remote only turns on both the tv and box half the time. the pop up to the home screen initially then have to back twoce to get to the tv is annoying. Still onnthe fence about choosing a profile to start, I may just delete those. The android voice features are mostly useless, I get the idea but bluesky is so much better. Having to pay $10 a month to pause and rewind is a cheap trick that was hidden during purchase. So far the only thing telus tv has over bluesky is the video games. It is such a bad experience and the customer service is so much worse. I am used to talking to someone within minutes, not hours. If shaw were still around I would have switched back and paid extra just to not have to use telus tv.

I am frustrated that I can record a show, either on the app or at home, but can only watch that recording from my optik tv box. With Shaw (which we had previously), I could watch my recorded shows on my devices wherever I was (in Canada) once logged in. I travel a lot and have shows I want to see but have to wait until I return home and binge watch. This is not my preference! If Shaw can do it, I'm sure Telus can!!!!

1) allow us to watch recorded shows on our device instead of only on the TV. Shaw let’s us do that and it’s really handy. I can record shows my husband hates and watch them while I’m doing chores. Forcing me to only watch them on the TV keeps me in one room… 2) please put a progress bar when skipping through shows. It’s so handy to know how far along the show is, for so many reasons. I see the progress bar when I pause but I miss having it when I skip through commercials (like Shaw has). 3) consider having a folder on the PVR called “Deleted Recordings” and when you delete a show, it goes there (instead of “poof!”. That way it can be recovered within a few days if it is needed again, or if it was deleted in error. I miss that feature that Shaw had. Thanks for everything else - otherwise I love my experience with Telus.

Channel up and down is useful in the guide for jumping up and down a page at a time. Could we make the skip forward and back buttons do this for 24-hour horizontal jumps?

With Shaw, when near or at the end of the recording a prompt would come up asking if you wish to delete the recording. It was easy to just press Yes, and the recording was gone.

Hello. I’d really like to be able to set my over to tape only Dodgers baseball, not all MLB games. Thank you!

A recent change to the Optik guide added a "new" badge to distinguish new episodes from reruns. This is an excellent feature. However, the "new" badge does not appear in the guide in the Apple TV app, nor on the online guide at https://telustvplus.com/#/guide. Please add this feature to the other guides.

Please add the feature to prompt to delete a recording after it has been watched. It currently takes a few extra steps to go into the recordings and delete items that have been watched.

I really miss the feature with Shaw that allowed me to specify which sports teams to record when they were on tv. No such feature exists on Optik. For example, I either record every hockey game or I have to keep an eye on when my team plays and manually record them ahead of each game. Both ways are inconvenient and doesn’t meet my needs. I know many people who believe this is a huge shortcoming with signing up with Telus. Please add the ability to automatically record specific sports teams.

So SpaceX just put out a call to Carriers to participate in direct to cell phonecoverage located here: https://www.spacex.com/updates/#direct2cell This will enable Direct to cellphone coverage for limited bandwidth text and voice applications. Canada is vast, and we have many many touristy areas without coverage. Kananaskis comes to mind, where there are thousands of visitors without coverage. Would hope TELUS would take the lead here! to help provide emergency phone and SMS coverage all over.

Parents need an option to disable, delete, or even add a pin on apps. The app in particular is Youtube. Everyone knows this isn't an app for kids. Putting restrictions on Youtube itself won't work. It will still allow contents that are not for kids.

I've have assorted shows listed here (Web and App) that I have no desire to continue watching. As best as I can tell there is no way to remove shows from this list. The PVR has a similar problem with the Home screen and continue watching. The only way I've found to remove shows there is to clear the viewing history and that removes ALL shows from the continue watching list.
