When you watch a series from Demand, and are currently watching an episode from that series - if you need to pause the PVR - after a few minutes when it times out, it then goes to a screen that shows the name of the series with the option “resume” and then it quickly changes to “watch”. However, if you hit the watch button, you quickly realize it has defaulted to a different episode. So now, you have to stop the episode, go into your perviously watched list, figure out what correct episode you were watching (the one that the PVR just defaulted to and you started to watch in error will also be there) - so it takes a minute to figure it out, then start the correct episode. The PVR does this EVERY TIME you pause the episode for a certain amount of time, so it is an absolute pain; very onerous.   The PVR software needs to be reset or repaired, so that the when you pause an episode of a show, it stays on that episode - or if not possible - then have it default to no episode at all (because if you start up the defaulted episode without thinking, you get caught up in the tedious, time-consuming situation of trying to get back in to your show). ... I recently got Telus and they installed a Technicolor FXA5000 network access hub and Arcadyan Boost 2.0 Wifi modems. The modems do NOT have the functionality to disable 'smart steering' OR enable 2.4Ghz Wifi. (That was tried on the admin portal Login) What that means is that customers cannot use most 'smart' devices as they require 2.4Ghz to be set up. ************** Can TELUS please: 1. update the firmware/software of the Arcadyan Boost 2.0 to allow detection of 2.4Ghz band by 'smart' devices even if just temporarily for set up 2. There is currently only 1 Greek channel on Optik TV. Customer said Rogers and Bell in the east have 5 or more Greek channels. More multicultural content would be much appreciated.  ... View more

I’m a student and I had music on Rogers, but just recently switched to Telus and was shocked to learn you guys don’t have music packages. In a work from anywhere kind of world The fact TELUS does not allow WI-FI calling outside Canada is truly bizarre. I have read hundreds of comments on Twitter, Reddit, and on this Forum dating back to 2017 and yet no action from TELUS. If you are ever outside Canada in a concrete building that has great Wi-Fi but poor cell signal. (Much of the Caribbean and other areas of the world). This function will simply never work with TELUS. I ended up having to switch my primary work line away from TELUS in order to address this scenario after 6 years of *hoping*.    Every North American carrier Rogers, Sprint, Verizon etc. all allow this functionality. TELUS loves to compare itself as only "Second to South Korea" - Well in SK They give all their users a dedicated app that allows texting and calling from anywhere in the world!  it is simply inexcusable in our current world. ... A new feature to arm and disarm on a schedule. I.e, every day at 11 pm, set security to arm stay. While these channels in Theme Packs are ostensibly connected by themes, it seems that many are not the case and haphazardly arranged into what is NOT a theme. Take Favourite Films for example. This Theme Pack has a paltry three channels in it. When IFC was still an available channel, it was included but then removed and not replaced with anything. Why not add MovieTime to this "theme" where it appropriately belongs? Another good example is Mezzo, a music channel but is included in a "Knowledge" theme pack. It seems that Telus is putting channels together haphazardly and calling them Themes when there is no theme to them. The way it is set up currently, the current show while scrolling the guide is playing in the background but it is faded and very difficult to see as it is obscured by written information. I just recently subscribed to a package deal which includes telus tv +.  I only watch tv through ''Edge'' on my xbox, or access other apps like Netflix, Disney or Prime the same way.  Unfortunately when I want to use my telus tv +, I always get an error '' Playback on this browser is not supported'', I can see the guide and everything, but each time I click to run whatever tv show from the guide list, I get that error message.    Any clue how this can be resolved please?  Thanks in advance. ... I don't believe this exists in connect app as of now, but it would be nice to have a quarantine feature. Any new device connecting to the network being unable to access any data over the Wi-Fi until it is approved in the app by the client would really improve security. Shouldn't even be that hard to implement. Just have any new device Automatically paused if it doesnt connect using WPS maybe? Would love to see this feature implemented in some fashion. ... On the old Optik TV platform, you could set a recording to end later in 15 minute intervals. It’s especially helpful when shows run up against football and other sports. I love SNL but miss out on parts because the show started late. Would be great to have that on the new platform.  ... View more

I am totally interested in the Stream+ you offer through Telus.   I think it would be an awesome idea if instead of making people have to use a credit card to obtain Stream+ through Telus,  it's be a great idea to just have it tacked onto your monthly bill and be able to pay for your subscriptions through Telus that way.  Not everyone has a credit card for starters, this makes it more accessible, and further people have to use their credit cards to pay for these subscriptions anyways, so there's no difference really, only that it's bundled in one place through Telus.  That doesn't necessarily make it better.  Billing via your Telus bill would be excellent and make it attainable for more users.   ... There used to be an option to set a reminder for an upcoming show and a couple of minutes before it would start the reminder would pop up on the screen. Then you would have the option to flip over to it or ignore or delete it. I don't know if Telus ever had this, I know that other company (who's name escapes me at this moment 😏) had it.
