Simple feature, but one that I feel would be used more often than the average viewer thinks! The following examples are sports related, but I'm sure people can come up with their own examples as to why this is a premier idea! Arguing about a catch in football? Whether it was a home run or not? Was it a high stick that scored that goal? Don't you want to be able to have answers before you have to watch 3-5 minutes of commercials!?Don't you want to be able to Snapchat, Vine, Instagram, Facebook, or Tweet a potentially viral slow-motion video of something you saw live on Optik TV!? When you pause live TV with your Optik TV Remote, the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons should become slow motion forward and slow motion backwards, respectively. As DAZN continues to buy content away from Telus’ providers, it would be great to add DAZN app. The Netflix app is great as it keeps me in the Optik interface, but now I need to leave the Optik environment to access DAZN. Recently, while the World Cup was being televised, I had to record the games.  One game went through regulation, overtime and then into penalty kicks.  The unfortunate thing about this is the fact that my PVR stopped recording because it "assumed" the game would have ended at the scheduled time.  I have heard Shaw has the ability to set a "sports/game" option on their recordings so that if a game goes past the allotted, scheduled programming time, it will keep going until the telecast is over.  Is this something that Telus could maybe introduce?  I know there is a feature using the Optik TV app that allows recording for a length of time, but I couldn't understand if it meant length of time beyond the scheduled time, or whether it was total recording time.   Anyway, with a sports-crazed country, I would think this may be some value.   -Darryl ... As a new subscriber, having switched from a different provider, i find some features lacking ... for example rather than recordings being determined by channel, they should be determined by show and episode  Eg, if i want to record new big bang theory in hd, i simply select that show from the search function or channel guide and indicate to record new and hd.  The pvr then slots each episode in from any of the subscribed channels taking into account recording conflicts and scheduling changes.   I don't need to worry if an individual show is moved to a different time slot as the pvr updates it or moves the recording to a different channel.   If the recording doesn't complete properly, it then auto scedules a rerecord of the show at a different time.     In addition to the smart record features i cld still manual record, or pick a specific channel to record the series from if i wanted.   Once a show or episode is set to record on one channel or timeslot, an indicator shows on the guide on any other versions of that show so that you can tell its already in your pvr list. (Example below..the little circle with a line tells me its being recorded on another channel or at a different time) ... View more

I want a channel that has retro cartoons from the 60s and 90s like The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, The Tick, Garfield & Friends, Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, Jetsons, Samurai Pizza Cats, TMNT, Transformers, Biker Mice from Mars, and even an adult programming block consisting of MTV's Downtown, Mission Hill, Duckman and the first eight seasons of the Simpsons.   Can we please get something like this? This is a channel of rotating pictures that Shaw offers.  When you're listening to Stingray music, there's  an attractive background on screen...a lot of us use the music channels  as background during daytime....much better to see attractive pictures than either an album cover or a black screen......PLEASE !!!! ... The Current Interface you have for crave TV shows is absolutely horrible.   You Make us click like 6 menus just to get to the show we are currently watching.   There is an option which asks us to play the next episode of the show we are watching which is great, But after a couple minutes this option times out and makes us go back to the main menu!   This problem also happens every time we turn off the box. I turn it back on and it takes WAAAAY too long to navigate back to the menu to pick my show I was watching!    I CANT BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW FRUSTRATING THIS IS!!   There needs to be a netflix style button that just lets us continue the series we were watching without navigating every menu again every time!!   Please fix this ASAP as it is actively encouraging me to avoid using your optik menus, and encouring me to use netflix (seperate TV app) and your other competitors....   This is 2018 and we need to binge efficiently and effectively!   I hope you will address this issue immediately! ... Right now if i use the "press record twice" option to set a show to record the series it defaults to recording new and rerun's. I have to change the options every time. would be nice to pick the default options so i can use the quick method and not have it record all the reruns as well.
