I use both Shaw and Telus for the last twenty years and I have to commend Shaw to keep their Call Centre in Canada.
English is my second language so I usually have a hard time to communicate with someone in the Philippines where I believe Telus main Call Centre is. It is much easier for me to communicate with someone who speak Canadian English (even with accent) and understand some Canadian custom.
I have to arrange services at Senior Home recently and Telus agent in Philippines does not have a clue on the general layout at Canadian Senior Home. Today I connected with a Telus agent in BC and she understand the service requirements quickly.
Keep your Call Centre in Canada, Telus - just like what you brag about being a GOOD community member!!
