Several of us Telus customers showed up an hour early for work on Sunday because our cell phones were set to "Use network-provided time", so we showed up at 6 instead of 7. Around 0730 MST, our phones corrected themselves, but it was a little late. Would be nice to get this corrected for November so Saskatchewanians won't be late for work, as we do not observe DST in this province.

TELUS does not control that setting on your phone, you do. The default value is set by your phone manufacturer and it's usually set to on.

I understand we can choose to stop synchronizing with the network provided time. Just don't understand why the network would follow DST in Saskatchewan. As the typical default setting for most phones, it sounds like it threw a lot of people off. Thankfully most people have Sunday off.

It's a Canada wide network. There isn't a separate network for Saskatchewan that can have it's own settings.
