Wireless printing in the office

HenryZ
Neighbour

As of yesterday, none of our HP printers in the office can scan documents to email.

Keep getting messages that state "Server Failure".

Any clues as to what is going on?

I have my printers configured to use the smtp.telus.net server and port 25.

I've also tried ports 1025 and 465.

I've spent over 3 hours trying to solve this issue.  Please help!

Sorry to hear that you've had difficulty in getting this working again. Here are some basic email guidelines on how to setup telus.net email accounts.

  • Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
  • Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  • Port: 993
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
  • Port: 465
  • Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  • Ensure checkbox has a checkmark for My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server

You can also reference our main email configuration website for any additional information.

Still not working... Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Best Regards,

Henry

I also don't use TELUS's emails... we use our company email addresses.

Server authentication should be set to a Telus.net email and password, or you need to set it to your companies server, and authenticate with email and password from that server.
