Account sent to collections without being told
My telus account was cancelled months ago and I got an email saying it was cancelled. The services stopped working so i didn't think anything of it. i got an email from a collections agency a week ago saying that i owe $197 and that the account was active up until a couple of days ago. I didnt recieve any emails with a bill or anything from telus until today saying that i owe that amount (never got any emails from telus for months).I asked how am i getting charged if the account was canceled. And the person on the phone said "why didnt you call us when you noticed the account was cancelled?" I dont know why i would call them and tell them that it was cancelled when they are the ones that told me it was cancelled. I asked how i can be charged for services I didnt receive. But the agent said I have to pay for it and that he can set up payment arrangements. Basically said there was nothing else they could do. It wasn't even a phone service it was their home security so the bill was less than $30 a month before it was cancelled so to get a bill for $197 seems insane. They just kept charging me without even telling me for months after receiving a confirmed cancellation Ive been with koodo/ Telus for years and i have never had an issue but I am very frustrated with this situation. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Was there a solution? Thanksabz19973 days agoNeighbour35Views0likes1CommentCancelled account alleged unpaid balance sent to collection
I just learned that I have been sent to collections by Telus for an alleged unpaid balance of $112 (which now became $137.92 according to the collection agency) on my previous TV/internet account in 2025. However, my payments were set up as pre-authorized, and I made sure I have $0 outstanding when I cancelled the service. Despite this, I received no prior notification—no emails, texts, or calls—regarding any outstanding balance. It wasn’t until a collection agency contacted me that I learned of this supposed debt, which has unfairly damaged my credit score. I have spent several hours on the phone with Telus customer service, only to be told that they will transfer me Home Services team. I am still a current Telus customer, As a loyal customer, I don't expect any special treatment, but I also don’t expect Telus to ruin my credit score, waste my time, and cause unnecessary stress. I will continue taking all necessary steps to reclaim my rights.jhong3 days agoNeighbour84Views0likes3CommentsTelus balance sent to collections?
Has anyone else had a Telus balance sent to collections without ever being contacted about it? I recently noticed that my TransUnion credit score dropped by about 100 points, from roughly 860 to 760. I've never missed a payment on anything. When I checked my report, I found a collection for only $115 from a collection agency, with TELUS listed as the original creditor. The strange part is that I've been a telus customer continuously for at least 10-12 years and I've lived at the same address for the last six years, and my current Telus account is in good standing with a $0 balance with autowithdrawal enabled. As far as I'm aware, Telus never contacted me about an outstanding balance. I didn't receive a bill, email, phone call, or any indication that I owed $115. I also don't recall ever being contacted by the collection agency. If someone had simply told me I owed $115 I would have paid it. I've started a dispute with TransUnion because I don't recognize the debt, but I'm trying to understand how this could happen. If I genuinely owed $115, why wouldn't it have appeared on my existing account, or why wouldn't TELUS have contacted me before sending it to collections? They have my current account and contact information and I've remained an active customer the entire time. So now I'm so bummed because my near perfect credit score has been wrecked from this charge for a hundred bucks. Has anyone else had something similar happen with TELUS? If so, were you able to find out where the balance came from and get the collection removed from your credit report?107Views0likes3CommentsEquipment returned, but still got charged
I returned the equipment, but I can't find the Canada Post receipt! It's impossible that Canada Post didn't return the modem! The only thing I have is the return ID: PR142924. How can I proceed with that?Solvedjanderson0997 days agoNeighbour68Views0likes3CommentsTelus TV + App on Fire TV
I just purchased a new Fire TV HD32N201 running Fire OS 8.1.8.5 and I'm not able to install the Telus TV + app. I tried several ways with no luck - through the Amazon App Store on the TV and through my Amazon account by syncing the app to my devices. Does anyone have any idea on what the problem may be?rbrake687 days agoNeighbour72Views1like1CommentFibre optic service box installed on private property
Ledcor assumed our property was common property, it is bare condo land and we have titles and property lines, They installed this in our side yard while we were gone, there is no easement or utility right of way in this location. Request it be moved, as an eye sore and placed only a few feet from our deck. I sent a email to fibreconnect.com who passed it onto Ledcor who didn't contact me until after all hooked up to and states now live and won't move further up so it's out of our sight but still on our property. If their looking for new customers in our neighborhood there not going to get it as the town of High River is not happy.DMFELL202610 days agoOrganizer562Views0likes12CommentsMy account was suspended

I have been a Telus Mobile and Telus Home loyal customer for years. I'm posting here because I'm completely exhausted from being bounced between departments on the phone, and I need someone at Telus with actual authority to look at my account and fix this properly. Here's what happened: Mid-2024: I called Telus to cancel my TV service. To be clear, I never wanted this service in the first place. It was pitched to me as a free trial, and when I didn't cancel in time it auto-converted into a contract. I have never used it, not once. The agent told me my contract ran until the end of 2024 and that cancelling early meant an early termination fee. They suggested I pay the $75/month until the contract ended, since that would cost less than the fee. I agreed, and I asked to return the equipment. I mailed it back and assumed that was the end of it. The contract would end in December 2024 and so would the charges. May 2026: I discovered Telus had never stopped charging me. The service kept billing month after month, well past the end of the contract. I called, explained everything, and asked for the service to be cancelled immediately and the charges stopped. The agent apologized, told me everything had been taken care of, and assured me I would not see any more TV bills. Today (September 30, 2026): I checked my bank statement and TELUS is still charging me the monthly fee. Four months after being told it was fixed, and nearly two years after the contract should have ended. I'm honestly stunned. This isn't a one-time billing error. It's two separate cancellation requests that were either ignored or never processed, and a promise that turned out to mean nothing. I'm paying for a service I never used, for equipment I returned long ago, and every time I call I have to start from scratch with someone new. Can a Telus moderator or escalations team member please take a look and resolve this? I don't want any phone call because I am oversea.lxsxujiarong11 days agoNeighbour60Views0likes1Comment
