Is there any way to block incoming calls to my land line from a particular number? A computer is calling me in the middle of the night!

There is Telus 'call screen'
http://telus.com/content/help/home-phone-support/calling-features/call-screen.jsp
To add numbers to your Call Screen list:
NOTE:
A ''''''not available anymore''''', Is Telus 'do not disturb'. It shuts down your incoming phone line between your preprogrammed hours, plus allows you to program in numbers you want to be able to call you.

Hi lidhawkins,
Unfortunately I don't believe there is a feature for that on landlines.
You can always add your number to the Canadian Do Not Call List to prevent unwanted calls from telemarketers.

Thanks.

I believe the feature Nasty mentioned would be the closest to a call blocking feature. I would recommend reaching out to TELUS Customer Care at www.telus.com/chat, they can go over any features with you. : )

Another option is to block the calls on your local phone. That will depend on the manufacturer and model. I have been successful in blocking calls using my Panasonic cordless telephone.

Yes there is a way to block in unwanted incoming calls from a landline. You must call Telus and ask to get this feature which is FREE. Telus does not advertise it. It does not tell you in phonebook either. We just got it hooked up a few weeks ago. When we called about it, the first person we talked to never did not know. Ask them how to use it when you get it hooked up. It takes minutes for them to do this.

Sutherland69 - the only free feature that Telus has that blocks SPECIFIC incoming calls is part of call display so it's not "free" as call display has a cost. It's also not a hidden feature. It's a feature that has been around for decades.
See: http://www.telus.com/en/bc/support/article/anonymous-call-block
If someone wants to prevent incoming calls where both the name AND the number are blocked, at a dialtone they just have to dial *77. To disable the feature they dial *87. The one problem is that some cell #s are blocked so they can get caught by this.

Investigate your home phone to determine if it has a call blocking feature. I use a Panasonic Model KX-TGA805C cordless phone. I have used it to block incoming numbers.
