All sensors & doors bypassed when I set the alarm
I’ve had the system for 3+ years and all of a sudden it bypasses everything when I set any alarm. Whether I set the alarm to away or home, you can open the doors and no alarm goes off. How do I fix...

7 months agoTo fix the issue of your alarm system bypassing everything when you set any alarm, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check sensor connections:
- Inspect all door and window sensors to ensure they're properly attached and aligned [i1].
- Look for any loose or fallen sensors.
Verify Force Bypass settings:
- Check your Alarm.com app or web portal for a "Force Bypass" setting [i2].
- If enabled, try disabling it to see if it resolves the issue.
- Note: Remote arming may automatically bypass open sensors regardless of this setting [i2].
Check Auto Bypass settings on the panel:
- Locate the "Auto Bypass" setting on your alarm panel [i2].
- If enabled, try disabling it and test arming the system locally.
Reset the system:
- Try resetting the alarm by pressing the OFF button (usually key number 1) on the keypad [i5].
Test individual zones:
- Arm the system and test each sensor one by one to identify if the problem is with specific zones or all of them.
Check for low batteries:
- Low battery in sensors can cause them to be bypassed automatically [i4].
- Replace batteries in sensors if needed.
Remember, the behavior might differ between arming the system remotely (which may bypass open sensors by default) and arming it locally at the panel. If the issue only occurs with remote arming, you may need to adjust settings in your Alarm.com account or mobile app.
