Why does my phone keep reconnecting and disconnecting when I try to connect to the Wi-Fi?

I'm also having the same issues with my Mac and PC. Rebooting the router fixes the issue, but it's annoying doing it every day. How can I fix this?

Ive been having the same problem with my wifi modem as well. Ive had the same modem since 2018 and this issue only started at the beginning of this year. The wifi keeps dropping and connecting on mine and my mother's iphones (we have older phones iphone 15 pro and 15 plus) but my dad has the latest iphone and the wifi stays connected on his, also the wifi was disconnecting from my pc laptop as well. I usually have to restart the modem and afterwards the wifi stays connected for a day or two and then it starts connecting and disconnecting again on my phone. I had the modem placed on top of a wireless subwoofer before and i had a feeling it was causing some kind of interference to the signal so i moved the modem away and the wifi was working well for the last 3 days but this morning my phone has started to connect and drop over and over again like before but my other devices are connected properly right now. Is this a problem with my phone or with the modem itself?

Hi! Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1: Separate the BandsIf your Wi-Fi network has one name (e.g., "TELUS123"), go into the modem settings and give the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands different names (e.g., "Home_2.4" and "Home_5").
Connect your iPhones specifically to the 5GHz name. This prevents the phone from "jumping" back and forth.

Step 2: Toggle "Private Address"On your iPhone:
Go to Settings &gt; Wi-Fi.
Tap the (i) next to your network.
Turn off Private Wi-Fi Address just for your home network to see if stability improves.

Step 3: Check for "IP Conflicts"Since your laptop and phones are all dropping, the modem might be struggling to assign "addresses" (IPs) to your devices. This is a classic sign of a failing DHCP server inside an old modem.

Is it the Phone or the Modem?Because this is happening to multiple devices (your phone, your mom's phone, and your laptop), the problem is almost certainly the modem. If it were just your phone, we'd blame the phone. Since it's a group issue, the "source" is the culprit.

The Fix: Since you've had that modem since 2018, you are likely eligible for a free hardware upgrade from Telus. They have moved to much better "Wi-Fi 6" units (like the Boost Wi-Fi 6 or the NH20A) that handle modern iPhones much better.
