Optik TV won't tape series

I had set Law & Order to tape as a series, I somehow deleted the series and now it won't tape.

How do I fix this? I can tape it each week, but when I set it to series tape the red dots disappear and it will not record I have tried different channels, different times. Is there some way to fix this?

    Hi Shirley6 - To fix your Optik TV series recording, first check for conflicting or conflicting series recordings and delete any unnecessary ones to free up space. If that doesn't work, you may need to reset the series recording by canceling it and setting it up again, and also try restarting your Optik TV box and ensuring your firmware is up to date.

      Adding on to this; a few questions would help:

      On what device are you attempting to set a recording? And on what channel? I was able to set a recording on channel 393 (FX) for first run and reruns. There are episodes from S21, S23 and S25. When I go to edit the series recording, i have the options to change to channel 396 (FX west), 407 (Crave 2) or 408 (Crave 3). If you don't subscribe to these channels, you wouldn't be able to record. In addition, I can change from 'first run and reruns' to 'first run only', but when i do this, there are no airings scheduled. Recordings would appear when and if they're scheduled. If you no longer subscribe to a channel or if the channel a show is on has changed, this could be why you can no longer set a recording.

        We have the "new" cloud PVR. I have tried taping on numerous channels, they all "allow" me to tape a single episode, but as soon as I press record a second time the recording goes away. The other Law & Order shows are still set as series. Just the regular one disappeared as a series show and will not reset.

  • Sorry to tell you but you’ll be having series recording problems for as long as you are a Telus customer.  They do not care to fix their system that is years behind Rogers/Shaw.  I regret changing and will be going back.
