Official Support TeamInstead of tapping the back button or manually navigating up to the Live TV tab, try this when the menu overlay gets in your way:
Press and hold the Back button for 2 full seconds. There's also a helpful thread at https://forum.telus.com/discussions/my_home_services_and_devices/tv-user-interface-shortcomings/136842 that might help with some of the other changes.
