TELUS, can you please bring the new BlackBerry android Dteck60? Since our old BlackBerry devises are loosing apps we need another device to take over. The specs on this Dtek60 looks great.

Sadly Blackberry is almost to the point of selling direct to consumer. Very few carriers are selling their devices in North America.

I hope TELUS can order it in for customers with our phone plans. The specs on the device is amazing! I've bought all my BlackBerry devises from TELUS. Hopefully TELUS can reach out and bring some in.

The biggest factor that is likely why Telus isn't offering that device is that demand is extremely low. No Canadian carrier currently offers the DTEK60 at all, which makes it sound like the demand is so low that not one carrier thought it would be profitable to offer the device. It's also still much cheaper to buy the 60 in full from Blackberry ($650), than the other big name devices which are closer to $1000 or more (S7, S8, iPhone 7/+) .

Blackberry's global marketshare is basically considered to be 0%. (source)

Telus still offers a BYOD discount of $180 / year, so there is a small subsidy if you buy it direct.

You may lose some native BB10 apps. When i used blackberry I was sideloading android apps constantly.. The BYOD is the best deal as stated by NFtoBC

You can buy them direct at blackberry.com, unlocked and able to be used on any carrier.

I know we can buy them unlocked from BlackBerry but the price without a phone plan is too$$$ the Dteck60 looks absolutely amazing.. business savey as they come.. they have also released another one with keyboard like the 9900 but on steroids.. new BlackBerry is Android.. would love to get a lesson on how to use it at the TELUS education center.. help me transfer over from my BlackBerry Z30 that is loosing all apps 😞

I know Telus skips DTEK60, which is ten times better and way cheaper than those high end smartphones in the market. Telus missed that chance to carry that phenomenal device. I heard that Telus will bring in KEYone in May. Hopefully, they will not miss the opportunity again. KEYone is a much awaited device. I will go for it when my contract is up pretty soon.
