im have real bad experience with TELUS as well. i had signed up with them on 2 years contract back in 2023, which ended recently but initially when i signed up the person from TELUS told me after 2 years devices will be mine and none of my phones are bring it back option meaning all phones will be mine. but now TELUS is asking me to pay over $700 for all those devices which clearly was a mistake or fault from their side. what should i do about this? anyone been in this situation as well in the past?

20 days agoYou can check your Service Agreement by going to your My TELUS account and under billing you'll see all of them.
That Service Agreement will show whether or not you signed up for the Bring it Back program. It's likely an agent mistakenly said that you didn't sign up for it

if thats the agent fault then why do i need to suffer and pay for the buyout balances for the devices.

A few years ago when I signed up with Telus something similar happened to me but it turned out the agent set it up so the final charges would add up to the same if I simply kept the Bring it Back phones. I told them originally very clearly I didn’t want Bring it Back. I can only guess there was some promo discount only available if BIB was setup or maybe the agents were being incentivized to sign up BIB as it was a new thing at the time. Check to see if it adds up correctly, but sounds like yours does not
