Did you end up getting this resolved? I am experiencing the same thing. I am getting charged for my subscriptions through Google Play to my credit card and some random agoogle Play charges are also showing up on my cell bill.
Telus Support got back to me almost immediately. Apparently the watch phone number was still linked to the account who previously had the phone number. They gave me a credit for the charges.
