20 days agoThe higher amount could be due to proration for the partial month, activation fees, or any additional charges that might have been applied. Did you have a chance to review your a detailed breakdown of your bill? You can check it in your My TELUS account through these steps:
- Log in to your My TELUS account on TELUS.com.
- Go to the "Billing" section.
- Select the bill you want to review.
This will give you with a detailed view of all the charges and any proration that's on there.

Really, prorated month? The Bill was supposed to be $80.00, how could $185 be just adding a prorated month?

One time charges such as activation fees, taxes on mobile phone subsidies, Optik TV hardware, installation fees, and proration can all factor in increasing your first bill.
