We have 2 x Apple TV's and are constantly getting the stupid "Max connections Exceeded" error. After multiple reboots/restarts of the AppleTV even pulling out the power cable, it will eventually clear. really dumb especially when trying to catch the beginning of the hockey game.
Does anyone know how to see what devices you are have connected to your account? Or if others get the message constantly like we do? Too bad Telus doesn't have the same device management controls that Netflix has.
PikTV is meant to host a single TV-connected device such as your Apple TV and also allow use on Mobile. Multiple connections of any of the available set-top boxes seem to cause this issue. Telus' would suggest moving to Optik if you want multiple TV connected to their programming.
From the PikTV FAQ: “You can stream Pik TV on up to 2 devices at the same time. Note that there is a limit of 1 Pik TV Media Box per account.”
The advertising copy states:
“Convenience you need
Watch live shows and events anywhere on the go with easy access on a variety of screens. Since there's no installation required, you can start watching the day you order”
Both of these suggest one fixed screen and one mobile device.
