"Something unexpected happened"

So I recently got Crave through my Pik tv (or whatever the hell I did to get the On demand section going) and was watching a tv show on the pik tv app for Android and had that "Something unexpected happened" thing come up four separate times during one episode.
What is going on? What can be done to keep it from happening? Am I switching to Shaw when my two years is up because Telus can't be bothered to fix this (I've had this issue with the live TV part on Chrome and my phone for a while now)?
