Wi-Fi booster

Just Moved In
Son computer needs a direct connection for the internet we just moved to the new home. Will the Wi-Fi telus booster that has an Ethernet plug in the back work for us? Store workers know nothing of the product.

No. The ethernet connection on the Telus Boost Wifi needs to be plugged in to the modem. If you need a hardwired connection and are not able to run ethernet cables, consider something like a powerline networking kit.

You could add a wireless card or adapter  to your son's computer.

This post written while connected by Ethernet only to the second Telus Wi-Fi Booster in my living room. Appears it will work as a bridge, in addition to providing Wi-Fi connectivity.
