Fiber patch cable

Just Moved In

Hello, I currently have a fiber connection provided by Telus and I am quite happy with it, however I am looking at getting a longer patch cable to go from the entry point (where the outside line comes inside into the small box) to the ONT so I can move it a bit further into my network rack. I know the type of fiber but I am unsure when it comes to the connecting end which is either SC APC or SC UPC

It's SC/APC, I've used this site before and was pretty happy with the price and quality of the cables.

Keep in mind there will likely be a duty charge though, for my order of ~$50USD I had $13 of duty fees.
Make sure you also get the SC/APC couplers/keystone's if you need them.

From your post, it looks like you know what you are talking.  However, I would leave that part to Telus.  Generally, they have quite a bit of slack at the point of entry or at the box.  Ask them before you do something.

Wouldn't it be easier to just run a longer ethernet cable from the ONT, in its original location, to your rack?
