I got my Smart Ring telephone number changed on Tuesday, and now my fax machine doesn't answer the distinctive ring. I'm trying to figure out if it its a problem with my fax or the phone line.
Since the only change was with Smart Ring number, I thought that the problem was with the phone line. I called Telus, and they changed the pattern from a double to a tripe ring (short-long-short), and my fax still doesn't answer.
I've tried a few troubleshooting steps, but I'm really not sure what else I can do. I welcome any suggestions.

You have registered the distinctive ring in your fax machine?
Are you on Copper or Fibre for telephone?

Yes. I originally set up the double (short-short/long-long) pattern. I now have the triple (short-long-short) pattern, which Telus switched to.
