TELUS is my only option

Internet is critical for the function of my business. As far as I know, TELUS is the only provider in my area. What recommendations could you give to minimize my downtime and impact to my business?

if you have TELUS mobility 4G and/or LTE coverage in your area, one solution would be Smart Hubs. These are essentially the same as ADSL modems but they work using the mobility network. The speeds are fairly fast and should be more than enough to be used as a backup connection for your mission critical services that requires internet connectivity.

TELUS also offers multiple solutions depending on your IP needs:

  1. standard internet connection (for browsing/sending emails only)
  2. public static ip for solutions that require a static ip and open inbound ports (ie remote servers, security cameras)
  3. dynamic public ip which are mostly required by vpn clients
