Anonymous ftp

Just Moved In

Our telus webserver allows up to do an ftp login with anonymous. However, I can't see which directory this is pointing to. If I do an upload, I get  "permission denied", and after placing files in any "obvious" directory they don't show up with an "ls" command."

I've tried /, /anonftp, /ftp/anonftp, /ftp/anonymous.

Any thoughts where I land after the anonymous login?

Thanks.

1) make sure Anonymous FTP is enabled in Control Panel

2) Once enabled, it creates a folder called anonftp. This will make it so that when you login with anonymous it will directly (and only) access anonftp folder

if you use a browser...

username: anonymous

shouldn't require pwd

if you use an FTP client...

hostname: domain.com

username: anonymous

pwd: blank

hope this helps.
