arrows beside some channel on guide screen
Hi I'm new to this. I noticed that arrows (>) appear beside some channels on the guide screen, what is this? The guy who installed my cable didn't explain it to me.

You can use that when you are looking for future programming.
It's the indicator telling you that you can restart the show from the beging.
The < arrow on a program indicates the start time of the program is in the time slot to the left which is currently off screen.
