Unpair a slimline 2 remote from your tv

I'm setting up a 4K digital box. When I was testing stuff before programming the remote, I muted the volume of the box itself and forgot to unmute. I then paired the remote with my tv. Now, no matter what I do, I cannot unmute the box. I tried programming the remote for a completely different tv, nothing works. The manuals and instructions I found online for the slimline 2 do not mention how to unpair at all.

Like, is this it? I need to contact telus for a brand new remote?

Try these steps to unpair your remote:

    - Press and hold the OK/SEL button on the remote for about 3 seconds until the green LED next to the OPTIK button flashes twice.

    - Enter the code 9 8 7 using the number buttons on the remote.

    - The LED should flash twice to confirm that the remote has been unpaired.

    - After unpairing, the remote will no longer control your TV or other devices it was previously paired with. If you want to re-pair the remote or pair it with a different device, you'll need to follow the pairing instructions for that specific device.

There is a button on the left side of the digital box you can press to re-pair the remote. Worth a try.
